RMS Titanic
RMS (Royal Mail Service) Titanic
is one of the greatest ships to have ever embark
on the Atlantic Ocean. On April 12, 1912 it set way from
Southampton, England, to New York City, as one
of the biggest and most luxurious ships of the
time. The ship had the best technological
innovations of the time, this included
seal-able water tight bulkheads,
electronically operated doors, and a 5000 Watt
transmitter that had a radius of more than
500km. The Titanic was thought to be
well designed and unsinkable. However on April
14, 1912 the ship grazed an iceberg on it
starboard side and sunk early the next day.
This tragedy lost 1,500 people of the 2224
passengers which helped make it an intriguing
question on what were the causes of the Titanic
sinking.
