As Spif longboards into the sunset he is
thankful for the ease with which he can travel long distances
with very little effort. As he kicks the ground to push himself
forward he coasts along for several seconds before feeling the
need to kick again. Spif realizes that the reason he is allowed
to coast along the way he has been is due to a phenomenon
referred to as Newtons First Law. "Every object in a state of
motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an
external force is applied to it." Spif then regrets his decision
to bring friction back into his system as rolling friction,
while slight, is the only force stopping him from simply rolling
along until he reaches his destination.
Tired and exhausted from a long day of longboard and
calculations Spif arrives home and reflects on his sources of
information.
