Combat!

Whether it is gun fights or hand to hand fighting scenes, this is the place for combat related scenes and their physics.

Wanted
In this movie, a group of people are brought together by one man as a group of assassins to take out targets spit out by a machine that gives the identities of only harmful individuals. Each member is highly trained and skilled at what they do. A theme throughout the movie is the idea of bending bullets around objects to eliminate targets easier. At the end, one of the lead characters learns a fatal secret and is tasked with eliminating every member of their group, except one. In this instant, she whips her gun around and the bullet takes out all members standing in a circle, with one shot! However fun it was to watch, it must be noted that this could never happen. Projectiles always move in a straight line after they have been fired, no matter how much spin has been added. In reality, it would have been funny to watch her awkwardly shoot the wall.

Quantum of Solace
In this newer James Bond movie, Bond once again finds himself trying to save the world from an evil guy trying to take it over. Like all Bond movies, he finds himself in a car, being chased by bad guys in another car shooting at him. The fact that no bullets hit him is amazing, considering the number of shots that the bad guys took. Some might argue that it was a bullet proof car. However, even for Bond, a bullet proof car would be too heavy to perform the stunts and tight turns that Bond needed it too. This makes Bond seem a lot more lucky that he didn't get hit.

The A-Team
After being framed for a hideous crime and attempts were made at their lives, a group of elite soldiers must return home to try to take down the men who tried to have them killed. On their way back, they find themselves in an old army plane and then tank, which is their new mode of transport after their plane was shot down. After some of the parachutes are damaged, the team must resort to shooting the ground below them with the heavy gun to prevent their demise by crashing into the ground. In the movie, it saved their lives, but in the real world, shooting the ground would have just left them a crater to fall into.
