Many people have hard time differentiating the two but to explain both in simple terms.

Energy is considered to be an objects ability to do work and can exist in many different forms (i.e motion, chemical, thermal, etc.) In the world of physics, its noted that there is a law which states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed. This law can be basically translated that energy has the ability to change its form.

Power on the other hand is considered to be the amount of energy produced or consumed over a given unit of time. Since energy is known to be linked to the idea of work or unit of energy over a distance, power can also be seen as the amount of work done over a period of time.
