With Tesla's inventions and the gap between when his inventions were created and now being so large, many things have changed. One being how things are used now than from Tesla's time.

Tesla Coils now a days are seen as making music tools. The sparks that the coils emit are expelled at such high frequencies they also produce sound along with the light.

Tesla's radio controlled boat has led to many inovations in remote controlled vehiciles and toys that are seen on tv or in stores. This has also in turn given advancements in unmanned aircraft the military uses. Tesla's radio controlled boat is the building block of theses modern inventions.

Tesla was able to supply energy to light bulbs across a room without using any sort of wires. He also proclaimed he could create free energy by using the earth. With this being sad, he claimed he could supply everyone electricity wirelessly for free around the globe. Yet with the wardenclyffe tower being unfunded and incomplete, Tesla could never accomplish this feat of free energy world wide.
