"Springs CONSTANTly amaze me", Physics Man confides to the nearby Doctor Centrifugus. The Doctor scowls; apparently he does not appreciate James Bond humor. His loss.

The ball bounced, lights flashed... and Tommy was racking up killer combos left and right! It's as if he plays by intuition, mused the voice in Physics Man's head. However he does it, he sure plays a mean pinball...

No matter. Pinball is a game of angles, and Physics Man was anglin' for a huge multipoint combo. He needed to shoot the ball up a ramp on the left side - what should he do?

Aware of the facts that the ball will travel in (roughly) a straight line unless it hits something AND that an object will travel along a path that is the reflection of a line perpendicular to the face of the object off of which it bounces (because that component of the velocity vector is unchanged in the collision), Physics Man should use the flipper to hit the ball when it will bounce off the flipper in a straight line for the ramp! Since the ball is made of steel, positive thoughts will change the magnetic fields in the area of the table. Physics Man should think positively and lean his body back and to the right, forcing the ball up and to the left!
