PHYSICS OF FISHING









In the system we have looked at, there are two points of interest:


  • When the system is at a constant velocity and a theoretical state of equilibrium.
  • When an external force (fish) acts on the lure.



Note: The mass of the line in both the downrigger and the rod, and the lure will be assumed to be "0." Also the drag induced on the line in both components by movement through water will be negligible.
