My Conclusion
-I have come to the conclusion that the the distant past
cannot be recreated nor understood by science. as time increases so do
ambiguities and uncertiantys. Often scientist try to answer philosophical
questions such as the origins of the universe. They seem to always
weigh their assumptions just as heavily as facts and observations. Adding
a little science to their philosophy to develop more assumptions that cannot
be proven right or wrong. Scientific thinking is one of man's greatest
tools in understanding the present natural world, it works so well that
many people assume that it also works for the past. However for science
to work we must be able to make a prediction and then test it. This method
works great for the behavior of nature. However it doesn't work for the
past, it is very difficult to test something that has ceased to exist.
There are many questions that can never be answered, wise men will avoid
them.
