Johannes
Kepler was born in a small town in Germany to poor parents in 1576.
His Father died when he was very young and he lived with his grandfather
He attended the University of Tubingen, where he studied Astronomy,
Greek and Hebrew. Later became a professor of Astronomy there. Kepler
was very religious man and he felt that his belief in God would
help him understand the universe. However, his scientific beliefs
were not in line with traditional Lutheranism and he was charged
with witchcraft, but latter acquitted. Kepler is remembered for
outlining the three laws of planetary motion and established very
precise astronomical tables. He also worked in the area of optics
and logarithms. Kepler died in 1630 in Regenburg Germany. .
