Sir Issac Newton...one of the few people in the history of our world that has truly transformed our physical world from one of mysticism and fables into one that could logically be explained within the realms of science. His explainations of gravity, some of the most well-known, are taught to every grade school child, and throughly explained to college students worldwide. His intellilect was known by all walks of life, by the commoner, by the esteemed philosipher, and even by the soothing words of a 18th century poet:

"Nature and Nature's laws lay hid in night: God said, Let Newton be! and all was light..." -Alexander Pope

Amoung is more well-known discoveries, this incrediable man had many more accomplishments throughout his life. With his endless list of minds at his disposal, and with his constant duel between Hooke and him, his intelligence blossomed. This website will explore only a few of his thousands of accomplishments, ones that ranged from his birth in 1642, the year of Galileo's death, to 1727, when he was buried in Westminster Abbey. His accomplishments made him the first scientist to receive such honor.
