ABSTRACT

This presentation will introduce current research activities of Joint Supercomputer Centre and Computational Physics Lab (Ioffe Insitute) of Saint-Petersburg, Russia, in the following areas. General and in numerical and mathematical modelling of complex physical phenomena such as: - physics of plasma, mechanics of multiphase media and materials sciences including semiconductor physics, crystal growth, hydro- and gas-dynamics, bio- and nanotechnologies. - high-performance computers (clusters) as well as the newest information and communication technologies and resources with remote access to them, for their effective use in scientific, educational and industrial projects.
