ABSTRACT

Despite the supposed simplicity of the H2O molecule, water and ice show a surprisingly complex and sometimes unexpected behavior. By some accounts, more than 70 anomalous properties of water exist, although it is highly debatable what qualifies as anomalous. Bring your favorite water anomaly and I'll try to say something intelligible about it. If you don't have any favorites come anyway, I'll provide a good selection..
