 | ABSTRACT
The UAF infrasound array in Antarctica provides
a unique opportunity to study the propagation of sound in snow
and the infrasound signals produced by the movement of snow. After
a brief introduction to infrasound and a demonstration of instruments
used to detect infrasound, I will describe our deployment of those
instruments in Antarctica and show a few of the interesting and
often mysterious signals that likely originate with sources such
as snow avalanches, the settling of snow (aka firnstoss), and the
              atmosphere.. |
