| ABSTRACT
Case 1: The local girl/boy
scout troop asks you to help them earn their science badge.
Case 2: You are
planning a research trip to Glennallen, AK. Two days before you leave, the
professor you work for informs you that, by the way, you will be doing a little
outreach at the local elementary school.
Case 3: You substitute for the school
district as a second job.
Case 4: You will participate in the summer science
series that occurs in June. You find this out the previous November. However,
you wait to prepare until the night before.
Case 5: You are asked to do a journal
club.
A list of easily-prepared educational demonstrations to showcase the various
topics in physics is a handy thing to keep on a zip drive. In this journal
club I will present a list of such demonstrations for a presentation which
meets the following requirements:
1. Presentation lasts in between 30 minutes
to 1 hour.
2. Presentation appropriate for any age.
3. Presentation includes
fire.
4. Total budget less than 20 dollars.
5. Total preparation time less
than 2 hours.
