ABSTRACT

I will initiate a discussion about how we communicate science, both among ourselves and with the greater public. The impetus for this talk was provided by reading Helen Quinn's piece in the January 2007 issue of Physics Today, Belief and knowledge — a plea about language. Unlike the traditional presentation-based Journal Club, this will truly be a discussion.
