We've all played the infamous Version Tag. We've all had to chase down the last working version of some program. We've all needed code from someone's computer when he's on vacation. It's frustrating, and it keeps us from getting work done. Fortunately, we aren't the only ones to have this problem, and software exists to help. This presentation will introduce the concept of version control software, along with some basic terminology and concepts needed to use it in one's daily work.
