Recipies2 Parts water 1 Part dish soap 1 Part glycerin
DI water is the best, it has the fewest impurities to interact with the soap The best soaps are Joy and Dawn. Okay soaps are Ivory and Palmolive The secret is detergent molecules have two very different parts, a polar or an ionic parts, chuch as a sulfonate group, asn a non polar part, consisting of a long hydrocarbon chain. The polar part of the molecule is hydrophillic, attracted to water, and the nonpolar part is hydrophobic, repelled by water. Glycerin is a hygroscopic substance that holds water and slows the evaporation of the water. Karo Syrup can also be used but it is as good as Glycerin |
