Photons and Light Particles
- "Light is Energy" Dr. Bill Blair
states. This is the miracle fuel for the entire
transport of water and nutrients in a plant.
- Light is the driving force of
water transport in plants and though other
factors are involved that may limit the
transport of water and nutrients, such as water
or nutrient deprivation in the cell, without
light the entire process doesn't occur.
- The light that most of all
plants use comes from our Sun. The light is
emitted through a process called Fission which
causes photons, or light, to be emitted from our
sun which travel the vacuum of space to
Earth.
- The light is used in a process
called photosynthesis which gives the plants
food and is the engine of the water transport
system.
