There are several common injuries that affect racquetball players, sadly the most common injuries are to the eyes. The amount of force required to injure the eye is relatively small. The pictures shown of the eyes with ruptured globes is in fact from the racquet hitting the eye directly, not the ball. Given that the glass was shattered in the last picture, it is indicative of how much force can really be put behind a ball when hit professionally. Fortunately, there is a preventative solution to these ailments, it is to simply to wear eye protection.
