   Bohr also gave a theoretical description of the periodic table of elements around 1920, a theory of the atomic nucleus being a compound structure in 1936, and his perception of uranium fission using the isotope 235 in 1939.    In his last years Bohr showed an interest in molecular biology, formulating his thoughts on the problem of life that appeared in an unfinished article published after his death.  Niels Bohr died form a heart attack in his home on November 18, 1962.  Many scientist and leading figures world wide mourned his death, including President Kennedy.
