Forehand:
The forehand is where the ball comes to the right side (left side is left handed) to the open racket face. When approaching the ball, the player will want to step with the opposite foot then hand. This causes the body to be parallel to the ground and this position has the most power. The more power behind the ball, the more speed there will be.
Backhand:
The backhand is similar to the forehand, but instead of going to the open racket face, the ball goes to the opposite side. There are two types of backhands, one hand and two hand. The one hand backhand is the most common with pros, but is harder to control and have good speed and accuracy with it. With the two hand backhand though, has more momentum and power because the left hand (or right if left handed) gives it extra support for more power and speed.
