First let us start with the racket:
The head of the racket has strings
-The strings are tightly put in
because this way when the ball
hits the "sweet spot" as it is
called allows the momentum of
the ball to be greater or weaker.
- If the ball hits the center of the racket
head, there is where the greatest momentum
of the ball is. Also hitting the "sweet
spot" allows the player to have more
control over the placement of the ball.
- There is also a spot on the racket that
is called the "deadspot". " At the
deadspot, all of the energy of the
ball is given to the racquet, and the
racquet does not give any energy back
to the ball" (Brody).
